Artwork at The Cotton Company

Jamie has artwork on display at "The Cotton Company" in downtown Wake Forest until mid-February. The gallery is also an enormous store, well-known for original local artwork and unique gifts; it is a very neat place!

This is a diptych I recently finished about New York. I tried to create the experience of being in the "Big Apple" on collage by using recognizable symbols and features of the city such as the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, and of course Yankee Stadium! I collaged black and white images to give the pieces a classic feel, and altered the surfaces to mimic the illusion of moments trapped in time.

Children's Nursery Mural - St. Pius Church, Greensboro NC

This particular mural was based on a Noah's Arc theme. "Noah" was depicted through a toy that the children played with at the nursery.

This bride wears very little makeup daily and I wanted to stay in her comfort zone. Her dress was very beautiful and detailed so we stayed neutral with her makeup keeping her features soft and added a heavier lash line to play up her gorgeous round eyes.

This beautiful bride already knew what she wanted her look to be. She had a photo reference for her eyes and we based her look off of that - soft & sultry. We decided her hair needed to be pulled off her shoulders to show-off her beautiful dress neckline.
